She entered the real estate industry in 1965 as a part-time agent while attending college. After two years it became clear Joanne preferred helping people sell and buy real estate more than pursuing a degree in architecture.
Since those early days, Joanne has handled thousands of transactions involving single family homes, condos, townhomes, duplexes, multiple unit apartment complexes, and special use properties such as churches and mobile home parks.
Joanne has also sold hundreds of mobile homes and manufactured homes and is licensed to sell brand new manufactured homes for ARM Homes, a mobile home dealer specializing in Encore Homes and new custom manufactured homes, serving most San Francisco bay area communities. The early years… Joanne, a veteran real estate professional, has had houses on her mind most of her life. When she was a little girl in the 1950’s she busied herself by drawing on brown paper bags. One of her drawings was a floor plan, an outrageous design for the time considering that most houses consisted of two bedrooms and one bath. Her floor plan featured three bedrooms: a parents bedroom, a boys bedroom and a girls bedroom; Two bathrooms: a parents bathroom and a kids bathroom; and two living rooms: an adults living room and a kids living room; and a garage attached to the house “so nobody gets wet in the winter. Years later that design became the standard for most home builders in the nation, what we in the real estate industry call a 3/2/2/FR. In Non-Realtor language it means: 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage and a family room.
